This fun workshop is created for "absolute mosaic beginners".
You'll learn everything you need to get started creating mosaic art and craft. The right way!
Learn about the materials and techniques used in modern mosaic art. Practice using mosaic hand tools. Explore all the different substrates ( mosaic bases ), adhesives ( glues ) and their uses. And finally, get hands on experience and learn to grout like a pro in the second session.
You will create and an outdoor mandala mosaic and a stained glass mosaic art flower.

This class is a foundation for anyone wanting to begin creating glass mosaic art. It's also an excellent prep for glass on glass mosaic workshops.
Nancy will present different types of glass applicable to mosaic art. Practice using a variety of mosaic hand tools. Cut and shape art glass, mirror, vit glass tiles, recycled glass, Van Gogh glass, molded glass and crystal glass. Lots of practice!
Class fee includes instruction, all "practice glass", mosaic tool usage, safety glasses, (and BandAids) 😊
Learn to use wheeled nippers, glass scorer, running pliers, glass grinder, lightbox, Beetle Bits cutting system.

This workshop is designed for fun AND learning. All levels of mosaic learners welcome. Individual designs will be tailored to each student's skill level
Create a 3 dimensional mosaic work of art with assorted crockery. You'll use mosaic hand tools to cut, shape and refine plates, cups, saucers, etc. No hammers! Learn wet saw skills, how to use adhesive mortars and proper grouting techniques. ** This is not "assemblage " art where pre-made pieces are simply "glued on". Students will create their own dimensional mosaic floral bouquet.
